I provide psychological care for men from Princeton and the surrounding area at my Pennington office. You do not need to fit a professional profile or have a diagnosis in mind before making contact. A brief phone consultation is the first step in deciding whether my practice is appropriate for your concerns.
Where appointments take place
In-person sessions take place at 21 NJ-31, Suite A6A, Pennington, NJ 08534. When considering travel from Princeton, use this office address to check your route and allow for traffic at your appointment time. Telehealth is available for people located in New Jersey.
If travel or scheduling may be difficult, mention that when we speak. We can discuss whether in-person appointments or telehealth would be a workable arrangement.
Concerns you can bring
My practice focuses on men's psychological health, including anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, relationship stress, divorce, and questions of identity and direction. Assessment considers your circumstances, functioning, history, and goals rather than assuming that a symptom has a single explanation.
For more detail, see my clinical articles on depression in men, anxiety and overwork, and divorce and psychological adjustment.
Approach and clinical fit
My approach is direct and practical. It draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused methods, reality therapy, and Stoic reasoning, with attention to meaning, responsibility, relationships, and established patterns. We identify treatment goals and review progress as the work proceeds.
Separate information is available about family consultation for parents of adult sons and therapy for adolescent males ages 16–17. Those pages explain how the first contact and services differ.
Fees and the first conversation
Individual sessions are $240 for 50 minutes. The practice is private-pay and out-of-network. A superbill is available if you wish to request reimbursement; eligibility and payment depend on your insurance plan and are not guaranteed.
The initial consultation is a 15-minute phone conversation to discuss what brings you here, ask practical questions, and consider fit. It is not a full assessment, and you do not need to commit to treatment during that call. You can request a confidential consultation online or call (609) 439-6526.
